In this blog I will tell you what was so enjoyable from the Wings Of Fire collection. Keep in mind this is a review on books 1 – 15 and I will review the other books in the series in another blog.
Story Line
In the first ten books in the series, 5 dragonets from each of the tribes on Pyrrhia ( The Seawings, The Icewings, The Mudwings, The Skywings, The Sandwings, The Rainwings, and The Nightwings ) were meant to end the war but the skywing egg was lost.

These 7 dragons (Clay, Glory, Starflight, Sunny, and Tsunami) are referred to as the dragonets of destiny. On their quest to end the war they keep meeting new enemies. So many dragons wanted to hurt these young dragonets. Though their quest these dragonets are also uncovering who their families are and if anybody actually loves them.
In books 11 – 15 you are placed into a different continent, Pantala. You will also notice the three different tribes on this new continent, they are: Hivewings, Silkwings, and Leafwings.

On this continent you uncover the sorrow and damage these tribes have went through. Then half of these dragons have to flee to Pyrrhia to beg for help to fight against a great evil. The Pyrrhian dragons agree and a great battle begins.
Characters
The main Pyrrhian dragons you will meet are Clay, Tsunami, Starflight, Sunny and Glory. Along the way The Dragonets Of Destiny meet many more dragons. Though not all the dragons they meet are friends in fact the dragonets meet many more enemies than friends.
In Pantala you will meet Blue, Luna, Swordtail, Io, and Cricket. These few dragons are amongst the many dragons wanting to end Queen Wasp’s reign over the silkwings.
Review
Over all I found the wings of fire series a touching story about love, family and kindness. I recommend this series to children 10 to 14 years old. If you like fantasy you will love this book. Plus since the books are so big you are able to enjoy this magical series. This series is definitely something I enjoyed reading.
