Red Alert is just the perfect game to play with friends. This real time strategy game really is the conqueror of all games. This game is surprisingly easy to play without loosing any fun.
To begin, Red Alert 1 is quick to play and relies heavily on your strategy. This makes it more enjoyable and what also makes this game extremely fun is that there is so much variety in the units and structures. Red Alert caters to anybody who loves those nail-biting moments or those who enjoy a quick game. Plus with all the different countries you can play as – it’s hard to get bored with Red Alert.
Soviets or Allies
In Command And Conquer Red Alert there are two sides you can play as – Soviets and Allies. Both sides have some advantages and weaknesses and both are really fun to play as. Only one question, who should you play as? Well for beginners I recommend the Soviets (Russia and Ukraine). For more progressed players I recommend the Allies (Germany, England and France).
The Soviets have powerful attacks and defense but to even this out the units are slow and expensive to buy. This faction is great for those who want to do brute strength attacks. The Allies on the other hand have weaker and less powerful units but they are also cheap and fast. The Allies also have an advanced form of technology, Chronoshifting allows allied units to be teleported anywhere on the map either by a chronosphere or by a chrono tank ( the chrono tank teleports it’s self and not any other units ) for a short period of time. There are also GAP generators and mobile GAP generators which hide a fraction of your base from enemy units.
So Why Is Red Alert The Best?
Red Alert takes all the good bits from games like Age Of Empires, Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation and makes them better. Since Red Alert is so easy to learn and play it makes it the perfect game to play with any of your friends. Not to mention since the games don’t last very long your able to have a game in around 10 minutes.
For me I loved Red Alert the first time I played it and I still love Red Alert to this day. I loved being able to experiment with the different units and structures in the game. Honestly, this game just never gets old.
